This Goes With That

Whether light or sombre, the high intelligence of Peter Goldsworthy's verse is proven by its very ability to delight us. That it consistently does so is in part due to its classically perfect balancing of warmth and cool. This selection of his poetry, undertaken by the author himself, is severe, but the result is a choice literary experience from the wry Author's Note to the very last line.
